Job Summary

Savannah River Remediation, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking an Associate Project Controls/Cost Specialist to be based in our Aiken, SC location.

This position develops, monitors and reports progress and forecasts to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and Department of Energy (DOE) cost control guidelines. Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine assigned tasks related to the preparation and application of schedule updates and cost monitoring activities (direct labor, material, subcontract and indirect costs).

  • Prepares schedules as directed for contract work and assists in financial analyses such as direct and indirect costs and variance analysis.

  • Assists in the reviews required for cost control data and collects information for specific functions and disciplines.

  • Coordinates the timeliness and accuracy of the Estimate to Complete (ETC) forecast relative to the scope in the development of resource loaded schedules and Activity Based Cost Estimates. The ETC development may be based on quantities, vendor estimates, vendor durations, prior historical information, subject matter expert input or industry standards such as Means.

  • Assists in the periodic (typically monthly) status/input into the integrated cost and scheduling software (COBRA/P6).

  • Assists in Performance Measurement Baseline development and maintenance.

  • Assists in the preparation, logging, and tracking of Baseline Change Proposals and cost/schedule trend reports.

  • Provides scheduling support to facility, department or project activities as directed.

  • Reviews purchase requisitions and invoices for application of appropriate cost codes, budget ceilings and quantities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university OR;

  • Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience OR;

  • High school diploma/GED and 4+ years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with preferred disciplines in Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, Business (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Administration, MIS).

  • Experience as a Project Controls Cost Specialist/Analyst on a US government site
