Job Summary

Savannah River Remediation, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a

Senior Programmer/Analyst to be based in our Aiken, SC location.

The Senior Programmer/Analyst participates in developing new web applications and maintaining current applications using C# and Microsoft ASP. NET MVC. They also install and support commercial of-the-shelf software for business systems and provide application support to the business system department personnel (accounting, procurement, Human Resources, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications using company defined life cycle processes and secure coding techniques.

  • Ensures all supported commercial and developed applications meet site security requirements, department software life-cycle and software compliance standards.

  • Designs web-based, mobile technology, cloud, and security interfaces to meet the specific needs of customers.

  • Contributes to the preparation of long and short-range plans for applications and software selection, application and software roadmap, software systems development, systems and infrastructure maintenance planning, and production activities.

  • Develops entity relationship and process flow diagrams outlining current and proposed systems.

  • Prepares documentation of programs developed, modifications to code, and user manuals.

  • Develops, documents and performs application testing and analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems.

  • Designs, implements and maintains IIS, WebLogic, Tomcat, and other web servers.

  • Maintains up-to-date patches and upgrades for existing systems.

  • Reviews vendor proposals for purchases of hardware, software, and technical services to assure adherence to technical specifications and site procedures.

  • Provides guidance to less experienced programmers/analysts.

  • Work is performed without direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.

  • Contributes to the successful completion of major projects where erroneous decisions could result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.

  • Acts as a technical contact for projects with significant technical matters that need to be communicated to senior and external personnel.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR;

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related and 7+ years of relevant experience OR;

  • High school diploma/GED and 9+ years combination of secondary education and/or relevant experience

  • Due to the nature of the work, the candidate must be a United States Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in C# and ASP.NET MVC along with JQUERY and HTML5.

  • Proficient with SQL including Store Procedures and CRUD

  • LINQ experience- Entity Framework

  • Experience with Windows Server 2012+ and SQL Server 2012+ Experience with DELTEK products

  • Experience with Tomcat and WebLogic
