AECOM CAD Specialist III in Albuquerque, New Mexico
AECOM is seeking a Civil Specialist to be based anywhere AECOM has an office within the West Region, ideally in El Paso Texas. This position will be supporting a team based in the Mountain Time Zone, but will also support Central Time Zone.

Extensive experience with Autodesk Civil 3D through release 2022, with an emphasis on surface modeling and pipe networks.
Dams - Grading design and surface modeling for earth fill, rockfill, conventional concrete and RCC embankments, quarries, spillways, outlet works, foundations and drains.
Ability to take general direction and simple sketches from engineers to then develop design criteria and progress through all stages of design.
Site development, access roads, drainage channels, jurisdictional and non-jurisdictional dams, slope stabilization, retaining walls, detention ponds, land development, surface drainage, and stream restoration.
Prepare detailed calculation packages for earthwork quantities, reservoir storage capacity, and tailing storage.
Ability to process a variety of data sources to build existing base surfaces from LiDAR, survey points, breaklines, DEMs, and contours.
Detailed understanding of coordinate systems and the ability to transform data from one system to another.
Data management of survey and client data through the project life cycle.
Meeting with clients for project kickoff, ongoing design review, and project close out.
Works under limited supervision.
Performs both routine and non-routine, complex design assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
Field and survey experience a plus.
- Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education or BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience
BA/BS degree NOT required
Ten (10) + years of relevant experience
Proficient with these software programs Civil3d, BIM360, ProjectWise, Microsoft Excel, Google Earth, Navisworks, ESRI GIS, Blue Marble Global Mapper or other GIS application
Strong technical progression within civil engineering and design
Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards
Some experience with these software programs a plus: InfraWorks, Vehicle Tracking, ReCap, MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenGround, GeoPak and Revit
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range is $$60-105k
