AECOM Entry Level Environmental Engineer in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Environmental Engineer for full-time employment in the Albuquerque, New Mexico office.

This position is expected to begin April/May 2022.

Job Overview:

This position will support our Remediation group within our Environment business line. This position is to be based out of Albuquerque, NM and will include both field and office work.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Field and Office Support for Site Assessment and Remediation Projects.

  • Support remediation system O&M

  • Perform field sampling activities and become proficient with field instrumentation and equipment.

  • Work on interesting, fast-paced projects with the opportunity to learn and expand skills.

  • Analytical data analysis.

  • Report preparation.

  • Evaluation of alternatives.

  • Data summaries.

  • Field sampling for soil, soil vapor and groundwater is required in a variety of environmental settings.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related

  • Valid U.S. Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors in sometimes challenging conditions.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors alike.

  • Flexible with working hours and locations, frequent travel within 1 – 2 hrs drive of home office, and occasionally further.

  • Willingness and ability to learn and rapidly master new tasks.

  • Strong research and report writing (including web based research).

  • Strong numerical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Strong quality and time management.

  • Self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative.

  • Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • EIT
