AECOM Structural Engineer IV in Albuquerque, New Mexico

United States of America - New Mexico, Albuquerque

Job Summary

  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.

  • 6 years of progressive experience designing and detailing highway transportation structures

  • Licensed Professional Engineer

  • Experience as lead structural engineer and / or experience managing staff or teams or groups

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, STAAD and other general structures software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

  • 10 years of progressive experience designing and detailing highway transportation structures on NMDOT projects

  • Experience as a lead structural engineer on NMDOT projects

  • Ability to travel to project sites up to 10%

  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License. T
