AECOM Environmental Project Manager II in Amherst, New York
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Project Manager for the Amherst, NY office. Chelmsford, MA, or Providence, RI offices will also be considered. This full-time position within our Environmental group will lead a team to help manage a variety of oil and gas investigation/remediation projects with oversight from senior managers and technical experts. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate NY investigation/remediation project experience and require a strong focus on health and safety, be detail orientated, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently, and will be capable of working collaboratively in a high-performance team.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
Managing scope, schedule, and budget for small to mid-sized investigation/remediation projects
Building strong client relationships
Client and regulatory correspondence
Technical report writing and review
Analyzes and applies solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues within area of expertise
Preparing cost estimates and proposals
Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
Responsible for quality control of tasks
Mentor project Jr. staff
Will require some regional travel for field visits
Supervise up to 10 staff
This position requires both office and fieldwork; the successful candidate should expect to be out in the field up to 30% of the time mentoring junior staff. Remote work is an option if applicable to project responsibilities. Fieldwork may be performed at project sites with environmental media (e.g., soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, etc.) that has been impacted with hazardous substances and/or hazardous wastes. Construction tasks will include the abandonment or decommissioning of surface and subsurface facilities or related assets.

Bachelor’s in Engineering, Geology, or closely related field and 2 years of Project Management experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid driver's license
PG or PE license
8 years of experience in environmental consulting
4 years of project management experience
Experience working for clients in the oil and gas market sector
Experience working with NY environmental regulatory agencies
40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
