AECOM is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant/Receptionist for the Anchorage, Alaska office.
This position is expected to start October of 2021.

Job Summary – Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant will provide support to managers, other employees, and office visitors while handling a variety of tasks to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive. This position will assist with day to day operations such as, answering phone calls, greeting visitors, scheduling meetings/events, assisting with new hires, reporting and invoices, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will thrive in a professional, corporate environment and bring a “can-do” attitude to work every day.
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following:
Answer phones and greet visitors.
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars. Coordinate staff meetings and other events.
Preparation of all out-going mail and appropriate distribution of all in-coming mail.
Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports, and other correspondence.
Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents.
Create and maintain filing systems, both physical and electronic.
Invoice coding and Expense reporting.
Preparation of workstations for New Hires.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Maintain a high standard to protect client information and confidentiality.
Uses Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other programs to accomplish work
- High School Diploma plus 2 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Prior experience/knowledge of administrative tasks, such as phone/verbal communication, scheduling and coordination, organization, and technical/written reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other related programs
Advanced time management skills which result in high levels of organization, productivity, and effectiveness
Strong work ethic and ability to work in fast paced environment
Ability to work independently and maintain flexibility with work schedule.
An understanding of accounting practices is a plus
- This position is expected to be part-time and roughly 20 hours/week, however scheduling and hours may vary.
