Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Planning & Scheduling Specialist for immediate employment in Arlington, VA. The successful candidate will provide analytical support as part of PMCM Project Controls Team to various construction management projects in the DC Metro Region with scheduling related tasks, and cost estimation on an as needed basis.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’ degree in engineering, architecture, or construction

  • 5+ years of experience of progressive Construction Project Management experience, which includes scheduling

  • Must have an understanding of construction means, methods, and sequences

  • Demonstrated knowledge in utilizing Primavera P6 scheduling software

  • Experience with construction schedules for the design-build and design-bid-build projects

  • Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling knowledge/experience and the ability to analyze schedules to determine duration and logic issues

  • Experience with Schedule Baseline and Monthly Update reviews and reporting

  • Experience with performing Earned Value Analysis

  • Time Impact Analysis (TIA) experience

  • Assists in assembling data for schedule updating.

  • Assists in the measurement of project schedule progress

  • Assists in assembling data for schedule updating.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to read and interpret contract requirements and to read engineering drawings

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing

  • Prior field project engineering experience in transportation, building, or energy projects

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, PSP or EVP Certification

  • Prior experience in Federal building projects

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Products Word, Excel, and Performs cost comparison analyses between in-house estimates and contractor estimates
