Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Contracts Administrator III to support our Federal Contracts Team. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of in-office and remote scheduling and can be based in, but not limited to: Arlington, VA; Washington, DC; Germantown, MD.

  • Coordinates and provides review, administration and compliance activities for industrial, commercial and government contracts/subcontracts of smaller scope and complexity.

  • Supports contract review, acceptance and compliance through one or more of the following:

  • Reviews proposed terms and conditions of a contract during the solicitation process and identifies nonstandard terms and may recommend modifications to contract language

  • Works with project manager and client/government representative to review and resolve questions or issues related to contract compliance or terms and conditions of the contract,

  • Prepares reports related to contract spend and progress

  • Conducts compliance reviews and ensures corrective actions are completed in a timely manner

  • Assists with reviews required for contract closure.

  • Employee follows standardized instructions or procedures, and works under direct supervision assisting higher-level contract administrators.

  • Work is checked for accuracy, adequacy, and adherence to instructions.

  • Degree or equivalent preferred.

  • Administrative duties as assigned.

  • Contract Administrator would be responsible for review of federal proposals and contracts.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 4 years of Federal Contract administration experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Due to the nature of the position, US citizenship is required in order to work on Federal proposals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience of US fed government and contracting regulations

  • Five (5) or more years or more experience in Federal Contract Administration

  • Familiarity with Army Corp of Engineers projects and federal environmental programs

  • One of the Following National Contract Management Association certifications: CFCM or CPCM

  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, other FAR supplements, as well as the Uniform Commercial Code with the ability to independently research regulatory issues, understand their application and consequences to our business

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint 2016+/O365 SharePoint Online, and Salesforce

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Team Player attitude, including acting as both as a formal and informal mentor to junior contracts managers on contracts and advocating for AECOM’s Federal Business Services (FBS) support when working with internal clients.

  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and business management skills.

  • Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude that will thrive in a management structure where high standards of productivity, quality of work, and effectiveness are maintained

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $115,000.00 - $149,000.00.
