Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Energy Engineer to join our growing Energy Team. The successful candidate will serve as a technical advisor and perform technical tasks on a variety of projects including energy master planning, energy efficiency, decarbonization, electrification, distributed generation, renewable energy, district energy systems and more.
We are looking for a self-directed, accomplished engineer who is passionate about advancing clean, secure and sustainable energy solutions.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Task management
Engineering analysis
Feasibility studies
Participation in investment grade audits
Report preparation
Conduct energy audits, and develop energy savings calculations and develop cost estimates for energy conservation measures (ECMs) at large federal, commercial, and institutional facilities
Identify and quantify energy conservation measures
Analyze utility bill data to determine customer energy performance parameters
Perform energy savings calculations using building modeling (eQUEST, or Trane Trace) and temperature- bin analysis methods to calculate savings associated with ECM upgrades
Write ECM descriptions and supporting documents to be included in proposal submissions, and present proposals to clients at oral interviews

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited University
6 years of experience working on energy projects (MS. Degree can substitute 2 years)
Engineering analysis experience
Modeling using tools such as eQUEST and Trane Trace
Fluent with Microsoft Office products
Experience performing ASHRAE Level I, II and III level audits of facilities and energy consuming systems
U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M)
LEED AP
Professional Engineering Certification
Experience in Energy Analysis and Energy Auditing, HVAC Design or EMS Design
Knowledgeable of HVAC equipment and systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, variable speed drives and motors
Possess a working knowledge of Energy Management Systems, and be able to develop control strategies to reduce energy consumption
DOD Security Clearance preferred
