AECOM is actively growing the East Region Impact Assessment & Permitting (IAP) practice and is seeking a Environmental Planning & Permitting - Sales Leader for the Arlington, VA office within the Mid-Atlantic IAP Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for team management and have experience overseeing environmental permitting and utility siting projects for energy and other private sector clients. The position will report to Arlington, VA. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM IAP specialists across the US.
General duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plans, organizes and implements all business development activities for an assigned market(s), or geographic territory.
May supervise and oversee business development staff and managers.
Participates in decision-making.
Works independently to pursue development of new business prospects.
Assists in the development of proposals and gives presentations to potential clients.
Has broad knowledge of the business to support cross-discipline, business line, and region collaboration.
Generally has business development and/or technical experience, with hands-on cost proposal development.
Organizational management skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work
Self-motivated, driven, and hard working
Demonstrated ability to market and win work successfully and effectively
BA/BS + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
US Citizenship is required
Valid Driver's License with a good driving record is required.
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural resources, Wetlands management, or an Earth Science-related field or Masters Degree
10 or more years industry experience, preferably with energy and other private sector clients providing environmental assessment and permitting compliance support
