AECOM is seeking a Quality Manager/Inspector/Alternate Project Manager for immediate employment in the Arlington, VA office to act as a resource for the day-to-day aspects on all inspections and construction activities related to projects that are executed according to the client, customer, and associated outside agency requirements and regulations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Adheres to AECOM Quality Policy and carries out job activities in compliance with applicable AECOM Quality System documents and customer contracts
Maintain a thorough understanding of inspection procedures, methods, principles, techniques of construction practices, building materials, technology, equipment construction practices, and materials used in the execution of projects
Ability to prepare and negotiate change orders and inspections
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
5+ years of industry experience
Experience in inspecting architectural, structural, and civil work
Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems associated with such facilities
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with clients and contractor/tradesman
Ability to manage numerous concurrently phased construction activities with multiple stakeholders
30 hours of OSHA training required
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in construction
Progressive experience in facility construction projects with direct relevancy in facilities having radiation shielding, ionizing radiation sources, or specialized laboratory systems desired
Construction industry certifications and qualification, such as journeyman level in mechanical/electrical trades, or construction management
