AECOM Transportation Planner Consultant III in Arlington, Virginia
Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an Transportation Planner Consultant III based in Arlington, Virginia.
For this position there is an opportunity to work remotely. Position will be primarily involved with projects for public transit agencies throughout the Americas.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Documentation of client asset management business processes and capabilities
Development of asset inventories and asset management plans
Analysis of asset inventories to determine the impact of alternative funding levels on state-of-good-repair backlog, condition, reliability, and operating & maintenance cost
Integration of analytical results into client financial plans
Report writing and presentation of findings
Contribution to overall engagement profitability and performance
Delivery of timely and quality services that meet or exceed team manager’s and client’s expectations
Participation in professional organizations relevant to asset management market
Proposal writing
Project management
Management of entry-level staff

Minimum Requirements
BS Engineering, urban planning, economics, finance, information technology, public policy, business, or related field
4 years of pertinent professional experience such as urban planning, economics, finance, information technology, public policy, business or related field
Some exposure one or more of the following: asset management, financial analysis, economic analysis, management consulting, business process improvement, information technology consulting, or other relevant area
Microsoft Office Access and Excel, including Visual Basic programming
Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
MS Engineering, urban planning, economics, finance, information technology, public policy, business, or related field
Experience with ISO 55000, state DOT transportation asset management plans, transit asset management plans, state of good repair decision support tools
Understanding and insights in the field of asset management in one or more of the following: financial planning, urban transportation planning, transit management and operations, rail management and operations, budget development and cost allocation principles
Problem-solving skills and organizational skills
Ability to adapt/respond to changes in client expectations
Strong written and oral communications skills
Proven ability to quasi-independently conduct, document, and communicate consulting assignments or tasks to a high professional standard
