Job Description
AECOM is currently pursuing an experienced and highly motivated Construction Resident Engineer - Dams to join our Water Business Line to support various projects located in the Atlanta, Georgia area. This position will report to the Atlanta, Georgia office and will support a variety engineering and construction projects across the region.
Responsibilities
Verify and document overall contract compliance and interpret project drawings and specifications.
Evaluate, resolve, and provide solutions to contractors and construction inspectors for constructability issues encountered at construction sites
Assists the Project Management team in reviewing project submittals and RFIs
Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate
Attend meetings and report on project tasks as needed
Monitor design changes, contractor and sub-contractor activities and progress
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a Civil Engineering plus 4 years of related experience in Geotechnical or Structural engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Due to the projects associated with this position a US Citizenship is required.
Valid U.S. Driver’s License and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review
Preferred Qualifications:
An EIT, successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Experience in resident engineering, construction management, project management, engineering, and related fields
Six plus years’ experience with knowledge and experience in performing inspection, design, and/or resident engineering activities in dams or water retaining structures
Experience in the evaluation and validation of contractors change order requests against contract documents
Excellent interpersonal skills, staff supervision, strong negotiation skills and conflict resolution abilities
Excellent written communications and presentation abilities in internal project settings with the project team, external project stakeholders, and leadership.

This position does not offer relocation assistance.
Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $115,000.00.
