AECOM is seeking for a Quality Assurance Inspector position for the construction project management of large, complex projects at Ft. Benning, GA. This is a multiyear program of expansion and renovation. The selectee will work with the US Army Corps of Engineers Ft. Fort Benning Area Office under the direction of a USACE Resident Engineer.
This position will include reviewing and interpreting plans and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and constructability. Field construction inspection and reporting will comprise the majority of the work. Interaction with clients and contractors requires candidate to have a professional presentation along with excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Records all data in RMS.
Responsible for monitoring contractor conformance to quality, performance, and specifications for assigned construction activities.
Keeps Resident Engineer informed of workload and any daily activities.
Reviews, analyzes and resolves issues.
Develops, documents, and implements contract modifications.
Assists in coordinating project submittals, cost control, scheduling, reporting and document control activities.
Regularly communicates with clients.
Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
Performs and monitors daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
Under minimal direction, relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
Tracks quality assurance progress.
HS + 8 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications
Working knowledge of RMS
Ten plus years of general construction experience with particular emphasis with particular emphasis the project management of large military industrial facilities and cyber or high security construction methods.
