Job Description

Schedule Review Lead

AECOM is serving as the General Engineering Consultant on this first-ever Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain contract for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). As the General Engineering Consultant, the AECOM team will be serving as the owner's representative to oversee the Developer during the final design and construction of this $4.6B project along SR 400 in the northern suburbs of metropolitan Atlanta. Design and Construction will begin later this year and likely carry into 2030/2031.

The Schedule Review Lead will serve as a member of the Post-Let Management Team. The position will be located in the project field office near the project corridor to be determined by the Developer.

Schedule Review Lead

  • Conducts detailed reviews and analysis of Developer’s Project Schedule Submittals.

  • Prepares required schedule submittal review documentation.

  • Provides accompanying scheduling support functions to the Project Management Team

  • Collaborates with and receives regular input from the following areas: project management, technical Subject Matter Experts, design oversight, and construction oversight to help validate Developer’s reported progress

  • Supports progress and payment validation

  • Provides expertise on claims mitigation/avoidance, evaluation of time impacts, etc.

  • Periodically audits Developer’s Independent Quality Firm and Developer against the Administrative Quality Management Plan to verify that they are performing as scoped and planned

  • Review the Project Management Plan revisions on an annual basis as needed per the contract requirements

  • Attend and collaborate with the Project Management Team in weekly meetings to monitor submittal packaging plan, Issues Log, Issue Analysis Reports and Non-Compliance Reports dispositions

  • As needed, monitor, and participate as needed in Design Coordination Meeting, Submittal Review Team Meetings, Over-the-Shoulder Design Review Meetings and Design Presentation Meetings

  • Administer and participate in Product and Process Audits to verify Developer’s adherence to the Project Agreement Documents

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 6 years of related construction-related scheduling experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Scheduling experience for highway/roadway construction projects

  • Experience using Oracle Primavera (P6) and eBuilder

  • Experience with cost/resource-loaded scheduling

  • Experience working with state, city, or other government agencies

  • Experience communicating and influencing stakeholders including colleagues, internal executives, and client representatives

Project Details: Widening 16 miles of SR 400 to add 2 lanes of tolled express lanes in each direction from the MARTA North Springs Station north to just north of McFarland Pkwy in Fulton and Forsyth counties. This includes accommodations for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) including construction of limited scope for two new BRT stations in the SR 400 Right-of-Way and connections to two existing MARTA stations.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00.
