Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer for our Atlanta, Georgia office. Working with other members on developing High Performance HVAC design (net-zero energy and carbon) for use across AECOM.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Design, including drafting, of mechanical systems for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems including engineering related calculations and development of drawings.
Develop system narratives
Review / Edit Specifications
QA/QC of Mechanical designs
Working under supervision of a department leader
Able to manage teams and projects with minimal supervision
Assist in proposal development

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and eight (8) plus years of related experience, which includes experience and skills in mechanical systems building design, project management, and team leadership
Eight (8) plus years experience and an understanding of Mechanical/HVAC systems for federal, corporate, and commercial.
Energy Modeling (e.g. Trane Trace, IES, EnergyPlus, etc.) - Six (6) years minimum for one.
AutoCAD and Revit experience - 4 years experience minimum for each
Additional Information
Preferred Qualifications :
Registered professional engineer (PE)
10+ years of related HVAC design
