Job Description
AECOM is seeking a TMC Technical Specialist to be based in Atlanta, GA. Transportation Management Center (TMC) Technical Specialists are responsible for creating and updating monthly reports, road assistance reports, holiday reports, and specialized reports; providing quality control (QC) reviews of several reports; extracting and compiling various forms of data; using software to provide innovative solutions and reports.
Additional Job Description:
Create descriptions of traffic events using event details, images, and data sources
Review reports for consistency, impact, and core functionality
Extensive use of Excel; importing data, writing formulas to extract/calculate specific values, exporting historical data to database
Following template to create specialized event reports
Use probe data analytics software to gather speed and travel time information
Perform quality audits and data compilation for phone and event interactions
Assist with Power BI dashboard development and maintenance
Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate complex data to various audiences
Assist with ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the Project Management Team with pilot testing of innovative solutions
QC check for Power BI dashboard calculations
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time monitoring Intelligent Transportation Systems such CCTV camera displays, meters, law enforcement radio broadcasts, answering/responding to calls and communicating to other staff or partner agencies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Constantly operate a computer and other monitoring equipment
Have one (1) or more years of experience with Power BI
Have one (1) or more years of experience reporting and data visualization
Have one (1) or more years of experience with data management and dashboards
Good written communication skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Works under direct supervision and independently
