Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to join the Aviation Team. This role will be based in Dallas, Houston, Austin, or San Antonio, Texas.

SUMMARY

Join the AECOM Aviation Team for an exciting and rewarding career building airports around the world. You will managing multiple aviation projects, including runways, taxiways, terminals, roadways, and other airport related facilities. You will be responsible for the lifecycle of the projects from Project Initiation through Project Closeout.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Administer multiple projects, including scope, budget, schedule, quality adherence, and performance

  • Oversee design and construction support activities

  • Oversee design consultants for adherence to scope, schedule, and budget

  • Oversee and perform quality reviews

  • Develop accurate reports, including progress, accomplishments, issues and current status of the project.

  • Utilize software in your project management duties for your assignments including Unifier, BIM, Primavera P6, SharePoint, etc.

  • Coordinate project activities with airport staff, tenants, airlines, governmental and other related agencies.

  • Proactively resolve issues to keep projects on budget and schedule.

  • Proactively work with contractors to avoid and resolve claims expeditiously

  • Assist the airport in the development of RFQ’s and RFP’s and provide support during the procurement process

  • Lead negotiations of design and construction phase services, other consultant fees, and provide documentation and recommend acceptance

  • Work closely with Construction Managers so projects are successful and in line with project goals and objectives

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid Class C driver’s license and ability to drive on airports

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with alternative delivery methods, especially the Guaranteed Maximum Pricing (GMP) contracts

  • Civil PE license preferred but not required

  • Previous aviation experience

  • Previous project management experience

  • Ability to obtain an airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship is not offered for this position

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $150,000.00 - $220,000.00.
