AECOM Senior Program Manager in Austin, Texas

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a full-time, Senior Environmental Program Manager position. This position will be based out of the Austin or Dallas, Texas offices (flexible mix of office/remote location) and include working with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate and lead business development efforts for the Environmental Business Line (EBL) throughout Texas, and lead teams to produce high-quality NEPA documents (Environmental Impact Statements [EISs], Environmental Assessments [EAs], Categorical Exclusions [CEs], technical reports, reevaluations, etc.) for key clients, including the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

AECOM is seeking a dynamic individual, capable of conducting the below work; someone who works well with others and is comfortable in small or large groups; and who can prepare high quality technical documentation/reports/permit packages.

Job duties include:

  • Conduct business development to secure new clients and projects. This includes identifying and tracking pursuits and participating in and/or leading proposals.

  • Develop and execute a strategy to grow environmental/NEPA business in Texas in the transportation sector (including highways, roads, transit, rail, multi-modal).

  • Retain and manage relationships with existing clients and external stakeholders.

  • Manage and support multi-disciplinary transportation project teams on the preparation of environmental deliverables; may include AECOM and subconsultant team members

  • Act as a liaison between teams in different phases of project development (schematic/environmental, PS&E, and construction)

  • Partner with, and provide high quality technical advice to, clients and identify innovative solutions.

  • Be responsible for project delivery to program, budget and quality expectations.

  • Mentor staff, as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in relevant field + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience managing NEPA documentation for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) with pre-certification 2.14.1 and familiarity with TxDOT contracting.
