Job Description
AECOM is growing with major project work throughout Louisiana and the Western U.S. AECOM's Louisiana Transportation Engineering Team is looking to enhance its staff with a Transportation Planning Specialist IV with responsibilities inclusive of the following::
Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning methods and products.
Usually performs as a staff advisor and consultant as to a technical specialty, a type of facility, industry, equipment or program function.
Monitors and ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws.
Oversees specialized planning functions, such as large-scale new development proposals and environmental studies.
Provides overall management of engagement related to planning tasks.
Partners with other business lines to assist with siting and environmental studies.
Leads environmental studies, such as impacts to neighborhoods and environmental resources; develops permit and NEPA documentation.
Advises various councils, boards, commissions and elected officials in planning related issues.
Produces high-quality reports, maps, figures and presentations.
Evaluates operations and activities of assigned responsibilities.
Prepares reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree + six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
Ability to pass MVR record check.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning highly preferred.
10 years of experience in planning and NEPA related work and related writing proficiency.
AICP certification.
Proven experience in NEPA related task deliveries.
Proven proficiency in GIS project software and related project deliveries.

Offered rate of compensation in Baton Rouge or New Orleans, LA. will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $75,000. - $125,000.
