Shimmick Construction, an AECOM Company is seeking a Field Superintendent to be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California.
Responsible for the organization, direction, and coordination of construction crews and activities on a construction project site.
Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management of field crews.
Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
Primary Liaison with client for day to day activities and long term operations.
Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
Reports to project manager and coordinates with other disciplines, including superintendents, engineers and administrative staff.
Education and Experience:
- HS/GED + 10 years of relevant experience or AA/AS (US) + 8 years of relevant experience or BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience
Experience in heavy civil construction projects
Concrete structures, MSE Walls, Rail, Transit, Wastewater
Current OSHA 10
Knowledge of Acubid, Hard Dollar and excellent Excel skills
Ability to discern new markets and develop business in those areas
Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized and effectively manage time
Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency
Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills
Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively
