Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Transportation Construction Inspector for immediate employment in the Huntsville, Alabama area. As a Senior Transportation Construction Inspector, you can benefit from the leverage created by recent projects wins with our transportation construction services organization.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Reviews drawings to prepare for the inspection. Understands the design of the construction that will be inspected
Documents the results of the inspection and communicates to the Inspector’s supervisor
Conducts field measurements to establish quantities for pay item documentation as well as other contract administration documentation
Inspects work zones for proper traffic control setup, erosion control devices and the maintenance thereof, utility coordination, and right-of-way issue resolution
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma
4 plus years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
4 plus years of inspection experience monitoring highway/bridge construction of federal-aid projects
Candidate should also have or ability to acquire relevant certifications: Concrete, asphalt, erosion control, traffic control. etc.
Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record
Must be open to working overtime and/or irregular work hours
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 plus years of inspection experience monitoring highway/bridge construction on federal aid projects
