AECOM Geologist / Hydrogeologist in Bismarck, North Dakota

AECOM Technical Services is seeking a Geologist / Hydrogeologist to join our Bismarck office. Responsibilities will involve supporting projects of various size and scope in field and office setting in contaminant investigation, environmental permitting, and environmental due diligence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and work with subcontractors, enforce safety requirements, and document observations.
Complete assigned field tasks safely, such as soil logging, monitoring well installation, media sampling, testing, and water level/groundwater gradient surveys.
Technical report preparation.
Must be able to work outdoors year-round.
AECOM will provide 40hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
Travel will be required, potentially including out-of-state short-term overnight stays.
Bachelor's Degree in geology or related scientific discipline.
2+ years experience in contaminant investigations, hydrogeology, and/or environmental sampling.
Strong communication skills, the ability to write, and the ability convey thoughts and ideas clearly.
Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions, and the confidence to ask questions to grasp objectives.
Ability and enthusiasm to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to work proficiently with MS Office products and organize data clearly.
Valid Driver’s License.
Successful candidates will be self-motivated and able to balance work schedule.
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of environmental data collection, investigation, and data entry skills.
Knowledge of Upper-Midwest geology and/or environmental chemistry.
Proficiency in using pumps, field instruments, and mechanical skills are beneficial.
