AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented, experienced and motivated Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Boca Raton, FL office. The successful candidate will support the Water Resource design teams in South Florida by working with different teams to complete a variety of projects that involve water resources. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Serves on project teams under the supervision of AECOM’s Project Managers
Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected
Performs work, which may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements
Works independently with general guidance except for complex and unusual situations
Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects
Completes assignments on time and within budget and achieve firm’s quality objectives
General engineering design and preparation of contract plans and specifications, including calculations
Water resources design including ICPR modeling
Hydraulic modeling and preparation of reports for public utility infrastructure projects
Interacts with both private and municipal clients
Interacts with multi-discipline and mutli office teams within AECOM and across various Departments within the Office and Region
Construction Management Services and Engineer of Record for construction of water utilities and stormwater projects
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in field related to Water Resources or Water/Wastewater services
5+ years of experience
PE registration required
Strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Good organizational skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrate the ability to work in local teams as well as the flexibility to work as part of multidisciplinary groups
Must posses a valid driver's license
Storm water design
Water resources project including H&H modeling
Water distribution systems
Pump station hydraulics
Master's degree in engineering
ICPR and/or other H&H modeling software
