AECOM Buildings + Places is actively seeking a talented Structural Engineer for employment in the Boston, MA office.
This position is expected to begin immediately.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to
Performs structural design of buildings and transportation structures and prepares related engineering calculations and structural modeling. Building types may include but are not limited to commercial buildings, government buildings, transit rail stations and airport terminals.
Prepares Structural BIM models.
Develops Structural Construction Documents/Drawings including framing plans, structural sections, structural details, structural schedules, etc.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
Prepares technical specification sections.
Performs visual survey of existing building structures.
Performs structural observations site visits during the construction phase of projects.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with supervision from Sr. Engineers.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered
Coordinates with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
Travel to project site and meetings as needed
- BS in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with two (2) + years of related experience in structural design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Experience in one or more of the following software: ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM Structural, TEDDS, SAP2000
Experience in BIM, Revit
