Job Description

Position Overview:

AECOM is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as the Vice President of Energy Advisory for the USA and Latin America. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of energy solutions and strategies across these regions. The ideal candidate will be a well-known, highly respected leader with over 20 years of experience in the energy sector, encompassing energy generation, transition, infrastructure, market, policy, regulation, and the decarbonization of transport and heat.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Energy Advisory Department, ensuring alignment with AECOM's global vision and regional objectives. Lead the department through disruptive market changes with a focus on innovation and forward-thinking policy implementation. Define current and new target markets/strategies and analyze current market share of the organization and its competitors.

  • Thought Leadership: Monitor market trends and develop/coordinate written, electronic, and interactive Thought Leadership working with Energy and Communication Leadership.

  • Client Engagement and Business Development: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Actively promote and sell AECOM's consulting, project management, and engineering services, driving business growth and market presence.

  • Team Development and Management: Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment. Empower team members through servant leadership, encouraging professional growth and development. Build and lead a diverse team capable of delivering exceptional results to clients.

  • Global and Regional Insight: Leverage a deep understanding of global energy policy and its impact on the United States and Latin America. Provide insights and guidance on how these policies affect clients and projects in the regions. Collaborate with other business lines and global energy leadership to promote cross-selling of services, achieve successful capture of large-scale pursuits, and grow client accounts.

  • Innovation and Implementation: Stay at the forefront of energy market trends and policy changes. Develop and implement innovative strategies that help clients create and execute roadmaps to achieve their energy objectives.

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient and effective operations within the department. Oversee project delivery, resource allocation, and financial performance, maintaining high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 12 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership

  • Extensive experience in the energy sector, with a proven track record in energy generation, transition, infrastructure, market, policy, regulation, and decarbonization.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of applicable technical discipline(s).

  • Previous and demonstrated experience in ability to discern new markets and develop business in those areas with developing the appropriate business case(s).

  • Proven strong client relationship management skills, with a passion for working with clients to achieve their goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 20 experience in the energy sector, with a proven track record in energy generation, transition, infrastructure, market, policy, regulation, and decarbonization.

  • Recognized as a leader and expert in the energy industry, with a strong reputation for excellence and innovation.

  • Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in growing and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on consulting, project management, and engineering services.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with drive to take on a leadership role and the accountability and responsibility that comes with It. Experience In working collaboratively in a matrix organization.

  • Competent in operations, people leadership, team development, and business development.

  • Excited about the changes in the energy market sector and committed to helping clients navigate and succeed in this dynamic environment.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $220,000.00 - $270,000.00.
