The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work on coastal resiliency and climate adaptation infrastructure, multi-scale public landscape design projects.

  • Utilize 3D modeling software: Rhino and Grasshopper as an integral part of a streamlined design process.

  • Develop community communication tools to describe complicated technical elements in an easily understood, accessible manner to the public.

  • Utilize drafting software: AutoCAD for the development of complete technical drawing sets including plans, elevations, sections, and details.

  • Utilize graphic design software: Adobe Creative Suite and Lumion for the development of high-quality renderings and diagrams.

  • Utilize mapping and analytics software: ArcGIS, MS Office Suite, and physical model making

  • Prepare designs and technical drawings using project specifications and discipline-specific written and verbal instructions.

  • Develop cohesive design narratives for the communication of project components.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/ or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have experience and proficiency designing and creating high quality deliverables with commuter software including Rhino, Lumion, GIS, AutoCAD, and the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Experience in the use of software such as Grasshopper, Adobe Suite animation programs (After Effects, Premier), or Enscape are preferred but not required.
