Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Pricing Manager to be based in our Germantown, MD -or- Chantilly, VA offices!

This is an experienced level position that works as a member of the Strategic Pricing team to pursue and capture new business. Successful candidate will lead activities associated with strategic and competitive pricing and development of cost/price proposals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Price proposal opportunities of all sizes/complexities using a variety of common templates.

  • Create and manage the Cost Volume for assigned deals.

  • Assist with Price To Win activities.

  • Develop pricing strategies.

  • Create excel models to support pricing requirements.

  • Conduct pricing strategy meetings, pricing analysis and competitive pricing activities.

  • Interface with Operations, Business Development, and Functional Support groups to obtain/develop data necessary for developing prices or other components in support of competitive analysis.

  • Lead the development of cost/price proposals to include cost model development, cost narrative writing and other cost/price volume requirements.

  • Ensure cost/price proposals are developed in accordance with the Cost Estimating System Manual and other policies and procedures.

  • Conduct internal proposal reviews (Pink/Red Teams, Sign Offs, etc.).

  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure that cost/price proposal components are accurate and responsive to solicitation requirements.

  • Conduct research and analysis of awarded contracts and other publically available information on Federal opportunities and the Federal Market.

  • Shows initiative and can take on important projects that benefit the team.

  • Mentor and assist junior pricing personnel with pricing and cost proposal requirements.

  • Develop training material and conduct training for other personnel engaging in pricing and cost proposal activities.

  • Contribute to the improvement of policies, procedures and tools.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of related experience in Government Contracting, Pricing, or Cost Volume Management. Additional education may be substituted for experience or additional experience may be substituted for education (generally 2 years of experience equals 1 year of education.)

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization,

  • Must have advanced knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

  • Must have demonstrated experience managing personnel or leading a project.

  • Must have excellent writing, spreadsheet and word processing skills.

  • Must have notable organizational skills and the ability to perform detail-oriented work.

  • Position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Position may require travel.
