Job Description

Mid-Level Roadway Civil Design Engineer

AECOM is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-level Roadway Civil Design Engineer located in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. As a lead Roadway Design Engineer, you will be involved in assisting senior design engineers with the design, analysis, and production of complex roadways for interstate, bridge, and surface transportation design projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support

  • Coordinate and lead roadway tasks and workflow with other team members

  • Coordinate with other design disciplines

  • Assisting in the development of Roadway Plans and supporting materials

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment

  • Responding to client RFIs

  • Attend and participate in client meetings

  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BS in Civil Engineering or associated technical discipline or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Four (4) years of experience in transportation engineering design projects

Preferred:

  • EI Certification or P.E. License or ability to receive within 6 months

  • Experience with Bentley MicroStation and associated design software

  • Familiarity with Open Roads Designer Software

  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
