The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provides technical leadership and applies thorough and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices to all projects.
Responsible for customer satisfaction on AECOM’s performance. Regularly meets with customers to ensure that we are providing quality installations and meeting their individual needs.
Electrical engineering from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancy
Researches, develops, designs, specifies and witnesses the testing of electrical systems, equipment, components and materials, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering
Team and project discipline leadership including ownership of team metrics such as finances, utilization, and performance
Serve as mentor by coaching and inspiring engineering teams and individuals; grows and develops staff
Work with Managing Principal and Regional Engineering Leads to achieve business and practice goals
Review team member work for quality and recognition of training requirements
Interact and work with diverse set of clients and subcontractors
Client account leadership, including development of client plans and the identification, positioning, pursuit and securing of new business.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
Competent in all conventional aspects of electrical engineering and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Ability to think strategically, implement change, enforce policy and resolve conflict
Excellent project planning, project management, organizational and time management skills
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Experience in the Corporate/Commercial, Higher Education and Healthcare markets
Ability to concisely express complex system solutions in very early design phases in order to share intent either internally for further development, or externally to assist design partners
Experience with AutoCAD/Revit (Revit is preferred)
Ability to analyze and provide solutions to complex challenges
Working knowledge of local and international codes, NEC and LEED standards
Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (P.E.)
Demonstrated ability to lead an engineering team in support of practice growth
Strong interpersonal and communication skills including both verbal/presentation and written
Proven ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external clients
Documented experience with advanced design, and technically challenging design with high profile clients working to fast paced schedules
Analyze equipment energy use for optimizing systems selection
LEED accredited Professional with Sustainability experience
Experience with Design Build and other Alternative Delivery practices
