Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Strategist / Business Transformation Consultant to be based in our Chicago, IL office. This position is not remote . Strategy+, AECOM’s design consulting studio, operates at the intersection of Business Transformation, Communications Dynamics and Place Strategies and is looking for highly motivated applicants who possess outstanding analytical, communication and design skills. The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team of talented management consultants and designers and be responsible for supporting our state-of-the-art consulting projects which encompass world class corporations, healthcare and cultural institutions, universities, and local and federal government.

Working as a collaborative team leader, this individual will be responsible for excellence in leading, managing and delivering projects, including client interaction, communication, planning, research, data analytics, visualization, workshop facilitation, presentation preparation coordinating one or more project teams, undertaking business development and report writing with oversight from a Project Manager and Principal in Charge.

Desirable Knowledge and Expertise

Candidates will be expected to possess deep expertise in one or more of the following:

  • Business strategy, data analytics and operations planning

  • Communication strategy, branding and marketing

  • Workplace strategy, planning and design

  • Familiarity with equity principles and DEI/JEDI concepts

  • User research, design strategy, and/or space programming

  • Creating and delivering change management strategies and organizational development plans

  • Expertise in user research, design strategy, and space programming

  • Design background in architecture, planning, interiors, graphics, product or web design

Technical Skills Range

Candidates will be expected to possess skills in on or more of the following:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel

  • Web based data analytics, visualization and presentation software

  • Project management, project work planning, scheduling and resource deployment

  • Business development, market planning and client relationships

  • Space programming, user research, design strategy and conceptual design

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or AA/AS (US) + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years relevant post education experience

  • Master’s degree in business, social science, architecture, engineering, planning, design or another relevant field

  • Experience creating and delivering change management strategies and organizational development plans

  • Experience in project and/or program management

  • Interest in or experience with strategies for sustainability or sustainable design

  • Experience in or familiarity with one or more of the following fields: real estate development, architecture, engineering, planning, interiors, graphics, product design, web design,

  • Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign)

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $105,000.00 - $140,000.00.
