AECOM Bridge Engineer in Cincinnati, Ohio

Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent
5+ years of experience in bridge design using AASHTO and ODOT (or other State DOT) bridge design policies, procedures, and requirements; including LRFD design experience
Proficiency in steel and concrete bridge design, and the ability to learn and develop technical skills for unique and advanced design requirements on projects
Experience modeling vendor Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software to design and analyze complex bridges
Working knowledge of current bridge design software
Eligibility for prequalification with ODOT for Bridge Design Levels 1 and 2
Bridge Inspection experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office
- 10+ years' experience preferred
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
Relocation or Per diem support is not available for this position.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment background check and a drug test
Valid driver's license required
Ability to occasionally travel for up to a week at a time may be necessary with this position
