AECOM Senior Project Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Project Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region to oversee environmental permitting and/or utility siting projects for energy and other private clients.

We will consider excellent candidates near any existing office location in the States of Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) specialists across the US.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural resources, Wetlands management, or an earth science-related field

  • 6+ years of experience managing projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget

  • Must be able to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in relevant field

  • 10+ years industry experience, preferably with energy and other private clients providing environmental assessment and permitting compliance support

  • Existing, mature, and tested Client relationships with an ability to generate new work for the Team, Office, and Company

  • Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations

  • Thorough working knowledge of CWA, ESA, NHPA, NEPA, and other federal, state, and local regulations

  • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery

  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders

  • PMP or other project management certification is a plus; candidate will be required to complete AECOM Project Management Certification

  • Have led teams of professionals in executing wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species studies, environmental permitting support, and other related studies/assessments/analyses

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, interdisciplinary teams, and workload, as well as interface successfully with Clients

  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as in a collaborative team environment

  • Organizational management skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work

  • Self-motivated, driven, and hard working

  • Demonstrated ability to market and win work successfully and effectively

  • Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written (writing sample required)

  • Occasional overnight travel required
