AECOM Electrical/I&C Engineer in Cleveland, Ohio
AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Electrical / I&C Technical Design Engineer for immediate employment in the Cleveland, OH office. The Engineer will support water treatment projects including wastewater treatment, sewer, pump stations, and other projects.

This I&C engineer position will involve a variety of design, construction administration, and programming of new construction and renovations to existing water treatment facilities, water booster pump stations, wastewater pump stations, and wastewater treatment facilities.
This position will be heavily focused on the detailed technical I&C design, construction administration, programming, and start-up of process facilities including:
Pumps, piping, valves, and process equipment
Headworks, screening, grit removal systems
Aeration, filtration, separation, dewatering and clarification systems
Odor control systems
Chemical feed systems
Sludge and residual handling systems
Work closely with project managers and design managers.
Develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) in coordination with water/wastewater process engineers.
Design control system architecture diagrams using a variety of technologies including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), Ethernet, fiber optic networks, radio, and VPN. Develop drawings to convey the design.
Generate contract specifications including input/output lists and data sheets for process instrumentation and control systems hardware.
Write detailed process control descriptions for full plant operation.
Develop technical specifications, plans, elevations, sections, and details.
Review shop drawing submittals and requests for information generated during construction.
Program PLCs and HMI stations to perform the process monitoring and control described in the process control descriptions.
Start-up and commission new and modified unit processes.
Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices.
Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed.
- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
5-10 years of relevant experience
Experience with water treatment processes
