Our Columbia, SC office is hiring a Survey Instrument Operator.
Duties include:
Reading and understanding survey notes, sketches, maps, deeds, as-builts, construction plans and drawings and records
Using appropriate survey equipment, conventional, GPS/GNSS and or laser scanning, to efficiently and accurately perform wide range of field survey procedures
Assisting crew chief in taking survey field notes, sketches and other written records on a daily basis
Assisting crew chief in performing QA/QC to verify that the data complies with the project requirements
Performing basic maintenance of the survey field equipment
Keeping survey field vehicle in good condition
Understanding and following all applicable safety procedures
Travel will be required for this position
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma is required
Must have a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of related survey experience is a plus but not required
Total Station experience a plus
