AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager to join our practice and grow our Southeast Technology and Logistics market sector. This position can be located in our Columbia, SC office or a telecommute/remote location.
Our Project Managers work directly with the client and stakeholders to ensure project and program objectives are met. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of working with clients in the logistics industry and demonstrate an affinity for maintaining and delivering high-quality projects on time and within budgets while establishing and maintaining excellent client relations.

Project Manager – Technology & Logistics Focused
AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager to join our practice and grow our Southeast Technology and Logistics market sector. This position can be located in our Columbia, SC office. Our Project Managers work directly with the client and stakeholders to ensure project and program objectives are met. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of working with clients in logistics industry and demonstrate an affinity for maintaining and delivering high quality projects on time and within budgets while establishing and maintaining excellent client relations.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager are as follows:
Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of a project, including the budget, base scope and additional services
Reviews deliverables prepared by the team
Assumes responsibility (in partnership with the Market Leader and Project Approver) for financial, technical and design excellence, overall quality and client satisfaction
Ensures project documents, including legal documents, contracts, and task orders are reviewed, approved, signed and filed per the AECOM project management framework
- Tracks and reports hours and manages project budget
Facilitates team and client meetings
Effectively communicates relevant project information to the client, team, and internal leadership
Delivers engaging, informative and well-organized presentations
Consistently acknowledges, appreciates, and motivates both individual staff and project team
Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential
Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations
Develops lasting relationships with clients and develops opportunities for new projects
Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions
Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction
- Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model
- BA/BS in Architecture, Engineering or related discipline and a minimum of four years of project management experience in transportation architecture and/or infrastructure architecture or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or/education
BS in Architecture, Engineering or related discipline + 6 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Licensed Architect or Engineer
Ten years of architectural or engineering design experience
