AECOM is seeking a dynamic entry-level Interior Designer to serve as a member of the growing architecture studio in Columbus, Ohio. They will be part of AECOM’s Building + Places team helping to support projects across a diverse set of market sectors including Education, Workplace, Healthcare, Civic/Cultural, Federal, Transportation, and Water.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Support the Interiors Studio staff with all aspects of project development and documentation
Participate in charrettes and assist in the generation of design ideas
Support the development of design concepts in two and three dimensions
Support the development of test fit and space plans that meet space program requirements
Support the development and presentation of finish palettes
Communicate design through appropriate media both within the Studio and to others
Maintain line of communication and collaborative working relationships with the entire design team
Collaborate to elevate design thought and awareness in studio as we aspire to succeed as creative thinkers and innovators
Assist with documentation of interior design project elements including space plan, finish materials, furniture plan and technical specifications through all project phases
Assist with maintaining resource library, vendor contacts and relevant content
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
Experience with Revit
Due to the nature of this role, US Citizenship is required.
Demonstrated success as a design student or entry-level designer
Proactive self-starter, team player who values a collaborative environment
Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Detail and process oriented, yet open to change and motivated by innovation
Working toward NCIDQ
Ability to accommodate some local travel (valid driver’s license required)
Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, Enscape or other 3D modeling software
