AECOM Senior Water Resource / Surface Water Engineer in Columbus, Ohio

United States of America - Michigan, Grand Rapids

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Water Resource / Surface Water Engineer to work primarily in one of our offices located in Michigan or Cleveland, Ohio (see job postings). This position is part of AECOM’s Michigan Water Resources Team.

The responsibilities of this role include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Hydrology/hydraulic analysis, and water resource and civil design

  • Dam removal/modifications and river restoration projects to include design, permitting, modeling, dam break analysis

  • Bridge and culvert hydraulics and design, run-off quantity and quality estimation, open channel and closed conduit flow, one and two-dimensional flow analysis, surface flow, and dam design and operation

  • Transportation projects

  • Stormwater Management Plans and green infrastructure design

  • Floodplain mapping and assessments

  • Create construction documents

  • Manage and lead technical tasks, project management, develop scope/fee and assist in business development/proposal preparation in Michigan and/or Ohio states

  • Mentoring of junior level engineers

Minimum Requirements

BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

MS Degree preferred

10 years of experience in Water Resources Engineering

2 years in consulting

Client facing experience

Experience with the following programs preferred: HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, AutoCAD, MicroStation
