AECOM Air Quality Scientist III in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania
AECOM is seeking an Air Quality Scientist/Engineer to be based in Conshohocken, PA. This Department is primarily responsible for supporting industry in the process that is required to obtain permits to construct and operate sources of air pollution. The business is driven by the Federal Clean Air Act and State air quality regulations. In this position your responsibilities will include:
Performing air emission inventories
Conducting air pollution control technology evaluations.
Preparing air permit applications
Data base management, calculation of air pollutant source emissions using Environmental Protection Agency procedures, regulatory analysis, and technical report preparation.
Utilizes scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
Solves problems by use of combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
Participates in planning required to achieve prescribed objectives.
Conducts analysis and investigation work obtained from a variety of sources.
Performs inspections and tests to ensure compliance.
Participates in developing corrective measures and procedures.
Formulates hypothesis, performs research, and makes recommendation.

BS in Engineering, Meteorology, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering
4+ years of experience
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.
5+ years of experience
NJ & PA Permitting Experience
Familiarity with NJDEP RADIS & PADEP Greenport
