Job Description

The Environmental Business Line of AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Senior Specialist for immediate employment with the Environmental Health and Safety Department in the Conshohocken, Pennsylvania office. The Conshohocken Environmental Health and Safety Department manages and executes several large, nationwide environmental due diligence and compliance work for both federal and private-sector clients. In this position, you will be responsible for compliance in assigned area of accountability, Environmental Health and Safety oversight of engineering projects, self-assessments and internal Environmental Health and Safety auditing, environmental reporting, installing and maintaining safety and environmental program elements.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS with 4+ Years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.

  • Bachelor’s degree in concentration in Engineering, Science or Safety and Environmental related disciplines

  • 4+ years of Environmental Health and Safety experience supporting multiple activities/projects Including working with Environmental Health and Safety regulatory agencies and corporate support functions.

  • Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting project management experience with interacting and influencing senior management at a site level including as strategic problem solving.

  • Advanced level of proficiency in the areas of environmental compliance, occupational safety, critical thinking, and communication skills.

  • Proficient with project management and problem solving. Emphasis on process safety management.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands, think strategically and successfully lead multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills; extremely proficient in technical writing; highly effective organization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Professional certification (e.g., CIH, CHMM, PE, CEP) certification is desirable.

  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.

  • Experience related to multi-media environmental compliance work (i.e., auditing, developing permits and plans, training, etc.).
