Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Project Manager to oversee projects which may involve environmental permitting, impact assessment, wetland restoration, utility siting, or other project focus areas. The candidate should be familiar with linear utility projects in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and other surrounding states. The successful applicant will join a network of existing AECOM Impact Assessment and Permitting (IAP) specialists across the US. The position is based out of AECOM's Conshohocken, Pennsylvania office.
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
BA/BS + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural resources, Wetlands management, or an earth science-related field
6+ years of experience managing projects and teams to scope, schedule, and budget.
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in relevant field
10+ years industry experience, preferably with energy and other private clients providing environmental assessment and permitting compliance support.
Existing, mature, and tested Client relationships with an ability to generate new work for the Team, Office, and Company
Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations
Thorough working knowledge of CWA, ESA, NHPA, NEPA, and other federal, state, and local regulations
Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery
Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders
PMP or other project management certification is a plus; candidate will be required to complete AECOM Project Management Certification.
Have led teams of professionals in executing wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species studies, environmental permitting support, and other related studies/assessments/analyses.
Demonstrated experience managing projects, interdisciplinary teams, and workload, as well as interface successfully with Clients
High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited supervision, as well as in a collaborative team environment
Organizational management skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work
Self-motivated, driven, and hard working
Demonstrated ability to market and win work successfully and effectively
Excellent communication skills, including both oral and written (writing sample required)
Occasional overnight travel required
