Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Mid Level System Engineer to perform a review of requirements and best practices to determine and write new processes and procedures. Must be proficient in MS Excel to gather and metrics and provide data and briefing to senior management. Must have technical background and some system engineering experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively on several phases of systems/software programming/analysis with little direction, but may require some instruction and guidance for other aspects.

  • May assist in the coding of benchmark testing, job accounting and other control modules developed internally by the company.

  • May assist with moderately complex software applications, such as system generations, compilers, link editors and some system engineering experience.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, or four (4) years of a demonstrated knowledge base and subject matter expertise relevant to specific technical disciplines of the PWS, including the qualifications below; or US Naval operational experience at the E7 level or higher.

  • In addition, six (6) years of engineering experience with a DoD major weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems program. Experience in concept definition, DoDAF compliant architecture development, requirements definition, and initial and detailed system design activities.

  • Systems engineering experience focused on requirements development and management of software systems. This includes experience related to the identification, analysis, and documentation of complex systems involving DOD weapon, combat, and/or fire control systems.

  • Two (2) years of concurrent experience with Navy surface or submarine shipboard weapons, combat, and/or fire control systems to include current Navy programs such as Tomahawk, USW (Surface Ship), USW (C4I), SLBM, and/or LCS Combat Systems .

  • One Engineer/Analyst experienced with engineering tools such as DOORS, Change Synergy, and System Architect. Also, one Engineer /Analyst experienced in obtaining DIACAP and/or PIT certification and accreditation of Navy weapon systems connected to the IT-21 Network.

  • Must be US Citizen

  • Must have active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Naval Weapon Systems experience.
