Job Description
AECOM is seeking a full-time Lead Texas CEI-CM Senior Project Manager and Lead for Class I Railroad construction projects. This position would be based in the Austin, Texas office.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and manage Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) projects for Class I and Shortline Railroads in Texas, ensuring technical quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow the CEI market in Texas, including identifying new opportunities, developing partnerships, and leading proposal efforts.
Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling for railroad construction projects, collaborating with design professionals and construction specialists.
Manage and develop a team of construction inspectors, ensuring high-quality site visits and progress reporting on all types of railroad construction projects.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with railroad clients, conducting regular visits and staying informed about future work opportunities.
Interpret and communicate technical and contract information to design professionals and team members.
Implement and oversee company policies and operational objectives, delegating tasks to subordinate managers as needed.
Ensure compliance with AECOM and railroad client safety standards, conducting project reviews and performance briefings.
Assist in developing and maintaining a skilled staff, focusing on training and maintaining high billability rates.
Participate in industry conferences and events to stay current with market trends and represent AECOM.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS + 10 years or more of relatable or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
Driver’s license required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
25 years of transportation experience.
Microsoft Office excel, word, and video conferencing skills.
Working knowledge of Class I railroad construction requirements.
Preferred Previous Experience with Union Pacific Railroad and BNSF Railway.

Travel is required for this position, greater than 25%.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $126,505.00 - $234,034.00.
