Job Description

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead, develop and deliver the procurement strategy for real estate to achieve goals on costs and GHG emissions while increasing employee engagement. The global strategy will include financial models including buy, lease and insurance; brokerage, fit out and facilities management, strategic and tactical sourcing and contract management

  • Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholder groups across AECOM’s global business, establishing Strategic Sourcing as a trusted advisor

  • Document, present and socialise the global strategy to regional leaders and country-based teams to gain buy-in

  • Execute category-specific global sourcing projects as part of a defined category strategy roadmap (direct delivery and overseeing others in the team) to deliver tangible commercial benefits and direct cost savings in alignment with team targets

  • Implement and lead supplier relationship management (SRM) with strategic suppliers

  • Lead negotiations and contracting for existing and new suppliers

  • Develop partnerships with internal stakeholders to ensure changes are delivered and savings realised. This will include developing performance metrics and working with internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve the financial and operational targets

  • Support the development and capability of the Global Strategic Sourcing team by demonstrating high standard of delivery and sharing best practice

  • Review end to end processes to improve management of supplier base, channel management, contract management, enable and improve purchase order compliance and adoption, workflow and approvals, payment processes and data and analytics

  • Utilise procurement technology and data to improve efficiency and achieve high levels of compliance to the procurement policy and processes, for example, through the implementation of the no PO no pay policy and the use of catalogues

  • Develop change and project management plans to support new ways of working

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS plus 8 years of Category Management, Strategic Sourcing experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Good experience of indirect procurement, ideally, in employee benefits and rewards and financial services such as insurance products & services

  • Extensive experience of change and project management tools and techniques including interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Good experience of strategic sourcing tools and techniques

  • Good experience of tender and contract drafting

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Excellent contractual and commercial expertise

  • Excellent supplier performance improvement tools & techniques

  • Excellent tactical cost reduction expertise

  • Experience of exploiting procurement technology including procurement to pay systems, eCatalogues, eSourcing platforms and spend analytics tools

  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills including advanced MS Excel skills

  • Strong appreciation of financial models including buying, leasing, savings forecasting and recording

  • Knowledge of Coupa and PowerBI would be an advantage

  • Experience of working in the services sectors, specifically, professional services, financial services and/or transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, science, or business

  • Nationally recognized professional certification (eg Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply or Certified Purchasing Manager or equivalent professional procurement and supply chain qualification)
