Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Tax Compliance will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with managing co-source state and local compliance relationship ensuring all deadlines are met including estimated payments, extension and return filings

  • Reviewing and preparing multi-state corporate income and franchise tax returns including coordinating the gathering and analyzing for supporting data from internal and external resources and preparation of state apportionment

  • Providing support for state income tax audits. Manage responses to notices and information requests from state and local tax authorities

  • Providing support to planning team regarding tax planning strategies to minimize state and local income tax liabilities

  • Assisting in the quarter-end and year-end tax provision process

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with various operating segments within the Company

  • Proactively identifying, recommending and implementing process improvements

  • Working on special tax projects such as M&A transactions, integrations and reorganizations

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in accounting or related degree

  • 7+ years of large-scale, complex tax experience with a public accounting firm or a multi-national public company

  • Strong knowledge and proven capabilities in multi-state income tax compliance

  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities

  • Experience with CorpTax tax software

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA and/or Master’s degree preferred

  • This position will be based at our AECOM office at the Galleria Towers in Dallas, TX. Local Candidates preferred.
