Job Description

AECOM is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to be based in our Denver, Colorado office. This Civil Engineer will support our Surface Water practice, primary in Colorado

This position is expected to begin in January 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Builds analytic and design skills.

  • Knowledge of civil engineering design principles.

  • Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling concepts and principles.

  • Experience with Microsoft office software.

  • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Conducts engineering design and analysis under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Creates designs, models, calculations, sketches, diagrams, drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI), having passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination

  • Attention to detail and quality

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard hydrologic and hydraulic computer software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, etc.)

  • Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS, etc.)

  • Drafting/CAD applications (MicroStation, AutoCAD, etc.)

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling concepts and principles.

  • Must be able to strictly adhere to Health and Safety protocols both in the office and in the field.

  • Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $53,400 - $73,400.
