Job Description

AECOM is seeking a project manager to work our Denver, CO office location; supporting geotechnical, civil infrastructure, and dams projects as part of the Dams and Reservoirs group. The candidate will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary project teams in developing solutions for key clients. Our technical leads will provide guidance and expertise and additional technical training to the candidate, as desired. The candidate shall have a minimum of 6 years of experience in consulting project management, with a strong background in civil consulting project management.

Qualifications

As a Project Manager , you will be engaged with project delivery and the successful integration of technical leaders in multi-disciplined projects.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Project management experience working with clients in government, major construction, or infrastructure projects.

  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within schedule, and to client parameters, including a demonstrated understanding of project management frameworks

  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative, ethical behavior

  • Experience in developing proposals and managing contracts and subcontractor agreements in consulting and contractor environments

  • Ability to develop and maintain projects, change schedules, and develop risk registers and cost estimates/budgets

  • Confident communication in client-facing environments and an ability to engage successfully across broad and complex stakeholder groups

  • Consistent delivery of profit margins planned

  • Responsibility for project teams varying in size, with preference for having managed project teams including representing various disciplines

  • Ability to learn technical solutions not in your wheelhouse and comprehend at a client level

  • Ability to write a scope and deliver with minimal oversight and direction

Your background and experience will enable you to be confident working directly with clients and winning work, while also being able to roll up your sleeves to deliver quality technical solutions for our clients. This is an opportunity to further develop your skills managing teams of project professionals, engineers, and environmental scientists, establishing and executing delivery strategies to achieve our clients’ goals. Your experience across the elements of engineering design, infrastructure lifecycle, and consulting will help to facilitate further growth of our services across the region.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8 years of related industry experience in dams or heavy civil infrastructure

  • PE preferred, or PMP with construction management background

  • Experience managing client portfolios with multiple projects

  • Experience managing design staff and subcontractors

  • Heavy civil construction design experience

  • Site travel is required according to client needs, typically 10-15%

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The target salary range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is 100000 to 160000.
