Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Project Scheduler to be based in the Denver, Colorado office to support mining projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Scheduler will be responsible for developing and managing the project schedule, be accountable for the schedule performance. Services include setting up and managing project controls systems (including setup of work breakdown structure), capturing to-date progress and expenditure data, analyzing to-date performance data, managing change and incorporating scope variations into schedule and preparing associated reports.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides analysis of schedule data to identify key project issues.
Supports the development of plans and schedules for proposals.
Assists in leading junior staff through assignment tasks.
Assists in tracking corrective actions.
Assists in coordination of schedule input from all parts of the organization.
Able to identify and assist in analysis of project schedule variances. Identifies and analyzes schedule variances and recommends associated corrective action.
Develop and maintain project schedule.
Provide schedule input to monthly and or bi-weekly reporting, including evaluations and presentations of current status and provide explanations of variances.
Updates and produces scheduling management reports.
Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and helps ensure that project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applications.
Able to use drawings and specifications for schedule development.
Expert ability to develop CPM schedule logic for engineering, procurement and construction as well as command of cornerstone scheduling system.
Able to resource load schedule and perform remedial schedule risk analysis.
Responsible for assembling data for schedule updating.
Familiar with construction contracting and the scheduling implications of contract terms.
Measures progress and reviews invoices of contractors.
Reviews purchase orders and subcontract schedule status and provides management with input on subcontract performance.
Knowledgeable of scope control and change management and has demonstrated ability to incorporate directed changes into schedule baseline. Knowledgeable in earned value methodology.
Assumes responsibility for some elements of baseline schedule and associated maintenance.
Familiar with basic cost analysis and forecasting as it relates to planning and scheduling.
Conducts or assists in performance measurement and associated schedule trends.
Supports various levels of project reporting.
Participates in and at times leads project planning and scheduling review meetings.
Assists in procedure development and implementation.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction or related field and eight (8) years of experience related to scheduling and controls with the extensive use of computer software scheduling tools and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Practical knowledge of heavy civil or construction projects, with proven experience developing resource loaded schedules in Primavera (P6).
Detailed knowledge of project planning and scheduling methods and practices.
Comprehensive understanding of company policies, procedures and financial obligations that would apply to projects.
Expert in standard server software applications such as e-mail, spreadsheet, word processing, database, as well as scheduling applications.
8+ years or more of relevant experience
MSHA Miner training
Knowledge and experience of developing PRISM models and reports for cost management.
Ability to serve as primary point of contact with the client and develop client relationships.
Strong written and oral communication, quantitative and people skills
Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
Initiative-taking on assignments and demonstrate initiative.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and complete multiple technical tasks under tight deadlines.
Track and manage task budgets and schedules.
Author reports and prepare/or direct preparation of detailed calculation packages including proper documentation and references.
Must be resourceful, highly organized, professional with attention to detail and people.

Willingness to travel to domestic locations.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,000.00 - $150,000.00.
