Job Summary

Work with the National Transportation Business Line leadership team, Area and Regional Executives (operations and business development), and area Business Development Leads on development and execution of significant project pursuits and delivery

  • Formulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for major pursuits, leading proposal efforts and identification of required staff resources to win and effectively deliver CM projects

  • Establish relationships with both external and internal clients and customers, including industry associations and other potential consultant team members and construction contractors

  • Successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project

  • Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally

  • Directly manage projects and support staff in project development and delivery, including scoping, budgeting, contract negotiations and project execution

  • Coordinating with clients and construction contractors to successfully execute and deliver projects

  • Manages projects, provides technical direction and guidance to staff and subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, maintains close client interface, and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through staff, subordinate managers and supervisors

  • Participate in business class practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices, and implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews

  • Assist bridge/highway design disciplines with constructability questions/issues

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related technical discipline

  • 15 + years of project and client management experience as well as proven success managing multiple programs

  • Minimal travel may be required

  • Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in being able to recognize opportunities for strategic growth and being able to build and lead teams to meet opportunity and growth special needs

  • Proven track record with large client CM or program management, pursuit execution, and feasibly multidisciplinary team management

  • Experience in client prepositioning activities, team (internal and external partners) and proposal development

  • Construction management, inspection and field support experience with local agencies, cities, counties and/or CDOT’s projects

  • Familiarity with local and federal funding and CM project development and delivery requirements
